Our group walking holiday to Pietrasanta in Tuscany was another wonderful trip abroad.
We were based at Hotel Joseph in the beachside resort of Marina di Pietrasanta.
The trip was organised by Joy Johnson and the holiday was run by Involved Holidays with a local walking guide Stephano. The holiday featured three walking days led by Stephano, a self-guided walk led by Alan and a three-hour guided tour of Florence.
The walks consisted of: a circular walk around the Medieval Castle of Nozzano Castello followed by a lunch stop at the nearby city of Lucca; a hilly walk from the picturesque village of Calci in the serene Gracious Valley; a walk from the maritime village of Tellaro on the Gulf of Poets to Lerici with its 12th century castle; Alan led a local walk from nearby Viareggio including forest paths and beach walking. And some of our party visited the city of Pisa with its famous Leaning Tower on our rest day.
