Meet 1015am in car park at end of Church Road Hanwell W7 3BP (opposite church) for a circular walk along River Brent Grand Junction Canal to Norwood and returning via Osterley Park - National Trust. Coffee stops along route or bring own refreshments. Lunch/Picnic stop at Hare and Hounds Pub Windmill Lane Osterley. Car parking is restricted around the start of the walk so car share if possible and try not to take all the spaces in the small free car park which provides parking for Hanwell Zoo. There is no parking in the road around the Church but further back along Church Road (near the turn off from Greenford Avenue) and along Golden Manor and in other side roads there are no restrictions at weekends (need to check signs for info in each location).7mile / 11.3km

We will begin on the paths that were cleared during recent footpath workdays before walking on the moor. Can be muddy in parts.Update: DIY drinks stop at Stanwell Moor. A circular walk around Horsell Common and McLaren Park based upon an old John G walk but shortened to 5 miles. We start at the pub where you can order your lunch before we start the walk. Meet at 09:00am at Staines Leisure Centre (if you need a car transfer) in time for a departure to the Fox and Hounds pub at Bishopsgate, nearest postcode TW20 0XU, arriving by 09.20 for an optional breakfast in the pub - bacon rolls and coffee etc... Otherwise meet at 10.00 outside the pub for start. This is a classic circular walk in the Great Park taking in the three equestrian statues, with views along the way of Windsor Castle, maybe deer herds and red kite tree lined avenues, lake ponds and polo field. There is a short break at the Village post office and lunch at a pub approximately two thirds of the way through the walk. If coming from Esher, pass Claremont NT, CP is on the left just after the bridge over A3. Varied vegetation on this lovely circular across Esher Common and West End Common, returning via River Mole.
